For me personally, love definitely makes me happier. I have never really cared that much about money... I just want enough to get by. But love, that is what makes life exciting and memorable. My money isn't spooning me at night or comforting me when I'm sad or going on vacation with me :)

There is an old song which says: "Money can't buy me love" (sung by the British pop group 'The Beatles' in the 1960's) Although financial stability might make you feel happy and especially secure (in supplying in you material needs) it still doesn't give you that special quality of good feeling which simple love can - like the love of a parent for his/her children - unconditional love!

There was a study done here, it said that money makes you happy only up to a certain amount per year (and it wasn't that high). Above that, you don't get any happier. I think if you are rich your expectations get higher.
People who are happiest all have something they love and it doesn't have to be romantically - it can be a job/hobby you are passionate about.

Both can bring joy but love wins. Love lasts longer than the joy that comes with money. Love can elevate you emotionally and affect you so strongly, it's one of very few emotions that has such a profound effect.

Money may buy you anything in the world, but love is the best feeling in the world. To have someone love you for who you are, and except you for what you are is priceless. To be able to share your life, your dreams, your hopes, and your fears and to know they love you no matter, and will support you. That is the greatest gift. And to return that love is the greatest gift you can give someone.
