i've always been told that women on their period should not hold a baby thats not there own as it might affect the baby. as anyone else heard this and if so where from

It sounds like just an old superstition or folk tale. Some cultures believe that women are bad or dirty when they're having their periods, so it probably came from a belief like that. As long as someone is clean, healthy, and knows the correct way to hold a baby, there's no medical reason why they shouldn't do so.

Folklore, and yes it sounds like it. I've never heard it before, but many ancient traditions saw menstruation as some kind of curse or sickness. The ancient Hebrews used to send their women to live in a special tent outside the village during their periods.

I have never hear of this "law". There is nothing in medicine that explains or says this.
It is perfectly ok to hold a baby not your own during your periods.

Yes that is ancient folklore. Holding a baby with clean hands will not affect it at all.

Superstitious folklore like black cat crossing path= bad luck. Step on a crack, break your mother's back. 13 is unlucky so all13 year olds should kill themself.

Note if you are in a lot of pain from cramping and might drop baby due to it that is a different story.

As long as your not gonna hold it between your legs without wearing any sanitary protection it should be fine!

who told you this ??? as they could be right because babys pick up on things as they use there senses as they can't use nothing else
