If you happen to ask the bartender, he will tell you it is half-full. If you ask me, it is probably half-empty and you could use another.
If you ask yourself, don't forget to include if you'd like to change to something better with the second glass. Of course, a physicist will tell you both. It is both half-full and half-empty. Both statements are equally true, also. Including this one. But moving right along, it is a beautiful day so let's go outside and play!
Best to you from G. in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.

Your glass is full. It never empties. When the liquid is gone it is replaced by air and when you fill it with liquid again all you do is displace the air. The only way of completely emptying a glass is to place it in a vacuum and what's the sense in that!

Half empty because I feel there is something missing.

Half full when I think I know what is missing and want to know how to get it!

As long as we may point at "the glass"
It is empty. Its essence is to be vessel and container.

Would there be water without the glass?
Would there be glasses without water to hold?

Is a mound of clay, already "the bowl".
Is the ocean the sandy basins, or the brine and life above?
