there are several x-men titles ,It depends on you exposure to x-men. Have you only seen the movies? the current titles are: x-men, uncanny x-men,astonishing x-men,new x-men along with two solo series about wolverine and ultimate x-men -set in a different marvel reality- i recommend you go to a comic shop and pick up a few titles and see what characters you like. astonishing x-men is a good place to start cause it only has 14 issues so far. have fun!

Or you could go to a bookstore or sites like Amazon.com and checking out Marvel Masterpieces - they're hardbound books that collect early issues of popular titles like the X-men into a single book. The first two X-men Marvel Masterpieces dealt with the introduction of the X-men - the first few issues, and then the first intro of the new X-men - you know, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, etc., etc.? There were more Masterpieces that followed - but I like them because while you get to read the classics, you won't have that price tag on them as you would trying to find the original comics.

If you have a local comic book store that keeps back issues, check with them because they may have a reprint of the original 1963 comic. It has been reprinted several times.

Also check dot.comics.... its a Marvel site and they do have some of the very original issues posted there

Go to Mile High Comics!

Be prepared for a shock tho!

The original issue of X-Men #1 is pretty expensive!

The originals are available on-line from any of the larger comic cealers (Milehigh, etc.) But be prepared for sticker shock, as some run into the hundreds of dollars.

Check out Torrentspy.com, under their assorted / comic book section, and they have a full run of torrents for downloading them.

Marvel Essential is the cheapest way to get them. They are reprinted in black and white. You get a ton of comics for around 10-15 bucks. THey have x-men and many other titles.

Overstreet.com has all these back issues. Or you can get in contact with Marvel Comics by letter to see if they are ever reissuing special collector items of early days of comics.

Go to a torrent web site. I suggest ISOhunt.com

Then do a search for Chronological X-Men you should find every X-men and X-Men related book in chronological order to download in sets. The just read them on your computer.

you may have to go to the marvel website and see if they have an archive of them on-line if not you might have to search comic books stores for back issues and that could get rather pricey.
