Many people believe that everything that happens to us has been predetermined to be our destiny. Our choices, and the chances we take are pretty much the same--and could determine our destiny. The way we were raised, and our childhood could also determine our destiny.
Anyway, there is probably no "right" answer for this question--like the rest of philosophy--all questions, lots of different opinions.

Most definitely both control our destiny. You can make choices to get where you are today. Other people make choices too. It's chance that those two people end up at the same place, at the same time by the choices they've made. Nobody chooses for a tornado to happen. It's just chance. Chance can change your destiny by killing you in a tornado. I do think it's mostly choice, but I still think both.

Destiny is a predetermined course of life. Since it is predetermined, our choices are made to lead us towards the predetermined destiny. There are no chances. There are only choices and the ultimate destiny. Many different choices and paths may lead to the same final destiny.

neither one determines our destiny....The destiny is written as a plan for us,with not so many details without importance.Our life is filling the destiny with those details.Our big choices in life are already written,we struggle for those,but somewhere is already decided which way we will go,and that will be the decision we will make eventually

How is that an either or question? Either way, we still have to make choices. We have to CHOOSE to take chances. So in the end, it is both.

hey dum-dum. you're thinking too much. taking a "chance" is a "choice." the idea is to measure all of your choices. weigh all of the pros and cons. hopefully you'll learn from all of your choices. your destiny, good, bad, or indifferent will be determined thusly

In my belief before we come here we have things that we want to learn. Destiny is when you take the path that you need to take. Free will lets us leave the path.

Destiny is choice we make.Whether it is cirumstances,external or internal reasons.1.Thought leads to choice,choice makes us to act.
2.action leads to repeated actions
3.becomes a habit.
4.repeated habits becomes our character.
5.Character is what makes our destiny.
