Try naproxen sodium (Aleve) to help. Quality chocolate and a hot water bottle help too.

There are different reasons why you get cramps, for me I do get them. I used to have them when I first started my periods but don't anymore, then I started getting really bad cramps that would only go away when I slept it off... the doctor told me to lose weight as thats what was causing it (and I wasn't fat at all, am now though!)... anyway at 20 I passed out at work because of it so went to back to the doctors who thought it was my kidneys... went to kidney specialist who told me I was pregnant (I was a virgin so I was no virgin mary)... finally I had a scan and it showed I had a fibroid 15cm! So I hope after hearing my crappy story you'll get yourself off to the doctors and demand a scan (like the type pregnant women have as they can also find out if its an infection of some kind) or an MRI scan which is the one where you go into a machine and it takes step by step photo's of your insides . I still get stomach cramps but I think its due to bloatness as thats quite painful too (since I've had my fibroid removed).

Well I grew up with having cramps with my periods. As I got older the cramps got worst I did most pain relivers but I just had to laid down with a hot pad over my stomache or back. I just had to let the pain go away by it self.
I know how you feel with this.

I get cramps with my period. The best thing that works for me is to exercise regularly (even a brisk 10 minute walk a day helps), watch your salt and caffeine intake (these increase fluid retention) and also watch sweets ( fluid retention also). If they are really severe, try a medicine like Midol. I find that when I follow the above steps, I'm less likely to need any pain medication.

Midol. Tylenol. Advil. any kind of pain medicine, but or "Women's Tylenol". Anything specifically marked for women or pain or both. Ask your parents to buy you some. Also take a bath... your period stops when you are in water, so baths can be relieving. For some people heat pads work

Yea all the time! Sometimes its from my period and sometimes when I'm stressed out! The best thing to do is get a milkshake from Mcdonalds! Thats what always makes mine go away!
