all of Croatia is beautiful but is there an unknown place? maybe and it depends on what kind of person you are. if you like nature you can look for an unknown beach or forest or a spot in the mountains. but if you love people around half the time, a small village. hmm, maybe somewhere in the Slavonski Brod area you can find your unkown place, since most people like the sea.

As soon as we tell you the answer, the validity of it will be doomed anyway, as i have a feeling you'll quite soon become a tourist there yourself
personally i'm just thrilled to hear that tourism is flourishing there again since the 90s, after many great holidays my great-aunt had in the area way-back-when... would like to go some day. Wish i could remember where it is she went, as who knows - that might be a starting point for you.

hard to find on the coastline, but in the continental part there are plenty of places.
