It's not the Capitalist way to help anyone but themselves either, even if it is on the backs of others!

It is not a question of how much, it is a question on how far business is allowed to go to screw people out of their labor while they get tax shelters and tax cuts that only push the division further.!

And I have an issue with Capitalism, as we really don't have capitalism.as when they they in trouble they run to us, the middle or poor income to bail them out.

No one in this world is worth a $168,000,000.00 salary! That is a salary!!

Salaries should be based, like in many countries, a percentage above what the highest laborer makes.!

I wonder how much one person needs, I mean Bill Gates ( I am not a Gates basher, so don't get that idea) is a multi-billionaire, Donald Trump, Tiger Woods, ect. has all the money that they could possibly want or need and yet are endeavoring to make more. Then you have people living under bridges because they cannot afford rent, kids going hungry because there is no food, many, many retired people deciding whether to buy medicine or food. Capitalism has its merits and this is one of its flaws. How much is to much, and then whine about paying taxes. The president and congress giving tax breaks to the very rich. I guess I am just a dumb democrat but I just some how do not feel this is right.

I would not limit anyone's level of income or wealth. Inventiveness and progress in society stems directly from the incentive of money. Even if the richest person in the world is richer than the average person by infinity times, he still has the right to any money he has earned honestly and legally. Contributions to charity to help the less fortunate are a matter of individual choice and should never be mandated through taxes or any other means.

I wouldn't. It's un-American.

Although if I were king of the world for a day, I think I'd put into play policies that would really convince wealthy people to give back to the community and to charity. For example, if someone owns more than 1 (20+)million dollar home, I think I'd insitute severely high property taxes for that person. In other words, I would make it extremely unprofitable for a person to own extravagant homes like that (more than one of them). That sure would illeviate some of the strain on the rest of us. Now, if a person just wants to sit back and invest money or save it in a bank, I don't care so much about that. I think that would strengthen our economy, since banks can't give loans without the big savings accounts they hold, and since our stock market economy depends on the investments of the wealthy.

One of the things I can't stand is to see public service announcements by a$$holes like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Bono (from U2). They are always talking about "help out the starving children" or "We need your help." or "If you just picked up the phone and commited to 20 dollars a month you could save a child's life" or "If every American just gave away 5 dollars a month to fight world hunger we could wipe it off the face of the planet once and for all."

What a crock of crap!!!

If just ONE of those celebrities limited themselves to just ONE 40 million dollar home instead of 5, then they could sell all the others, and give THAT money to the starving children, and eliminate world hunger for at least 5 years.

Think about that one next time you see a celebrity telethon.

Well being the true marxist at heart that I am, no one person/family should have 10% more than any other person/family.

And just as it is supposed to be taught in the bible: when wealth differences get too vast or every 7 years, there is suppose to be a re-distribution of wealth.
