Be the father. lol. Try to stay relaxed and focused. If you can have meds, take them. I didn't for either of my girls, but that was my choice. You'll know if you want them.

While this is different for everyone. Of course natural is the most painful way. But medications do not always work for everyone. Or if you are like me you will have an allergic reaction to the epidural so while you are not feeling the contractions you are dry heaving...NOT fun!
Some people do not like c-sections and they take a long time to recover after them.
However after my first child who I labored with for over 36 hours and finally had a c-section I was happy to have it!!! And I was also happy that with my future children I would not have to labor like that ever again just get the c-section and get it done with! With all of my c-sections I healed quickly and the only time I was in any real pain was the first day.

quickly. It doesn't hurt as much if you relax, so try teaching yourself self-hypnosis. Although you feel nothing during a c-section, it takes longer to recover and the recovery process can be painful. Better to go for a vaginal birth if you can, whatever pain medication you would like (epidural is NOT your only option) and just make sure you are relaxed and comfortable. It is your birth, have it your way!

if you get an epidural done properly and early enough in labor your childbirth will be painless. i had an epidural done during my c-section and never felt a thing. breastfeeding was more painful to me then the whole giving birth process!!!!!!!
