I am not married nor engaged but I have many female friends whoa re married or engaged. Most of them cheat saying "They married their husband because basically he is a sucker that provides them with money, shelter and takes care of the kids" and they have another man on the side that gives them great sex/emotional needs, etc etc. So do most of you ladies do the same thing? Marry some sap to father your kids and earn money while you have another guy on the side? I'm not passing judgement, I could care less whether someone cheats or not. Just curious.

This is definitley not a right viewpoint or reason to marry a man for vacation. I love my husband and he is not or never will be a sucker or person to be used just for him money and dad for my kids. This is nor right at all ! These women make me sad for sure . How would they feel if thier husbands thought of them as a sucker for making babies and cleaning house and sex machines and that is all they were good for. I love my husband VERY much and he means so very much to me and we love and cherish each other for who they are not what we think we want them to be!

i believe that can be common in some areas that you are in despite their ages especially in military towns where there is a gurantee paycheck. I am married and married a man that I consider to be my best friend, but since moving to this military town 3 years ago. I have met more and more young women (teenagers) and older women that look for the stars and stripes to determine rank instead of someone that they really like and no it doesn't matter if they are married either. That is probably why I don't have any friends here I guess.

Absolutely not! I would never marry someone just for money and to help raise the kids. I have been married for 9 years and I have never once cheated. Yes he might have cheated on me once or twice but I wouldn't do that. If I am not happy in my marriage then I would talk to my husband and either work things out or end it. No one deserves to get treated that way!

Nope. I married for children, love, and sex. I wanted them from only 1 person. Marriage is sacred to me, not some piece of paper to pull in some poor sap. I'm a military wife. I'd not take this garbage if I didn't love him very much. His job is first, no choice. Right now he's in Iraq. If I wanted to cheat I could. But I don't want to. I've only ever slept with him. I don't want anyone else in my bed. I love him, but more than that, I respect him too much to hurt him like that.

I had a strong feeling that morals were going downt the tubes.
But honestly had no idea that this was a common function.
Any wonder the divorce attny's are becoming wealthy.
Perhaps you dont pass judgement, but I say it's a sorry state we've become if this is what married life has come to in this day.

Some do marry for that reason, but i would say that the majority of woman don't. A mature, independent woman wouldn't marry for those reasons. I my self would rather be alone then marry some one I wasn't in love with. I have a lot more respect for my self and others to use some one in that way.

I'm not married, but may I give my opinion anyway? I think that depends solely upon what age group of women you're dealing with. This scenario seems to hold true with the younger women, but my age group (I'm 34) in general does not behave that way. And for the ones who do, I apologize. Hope that helps!

I wonder about your choice of female friends! They sound like opportunistic, shallow, manipulative b***ches. Any woman or man who would marry someone just for the money and to have children with, knowing that they are going to cheat on that person, is a L-oser.

I can't speak for anyone but myself. I have my husband and that's all. He's the man of my dreams and my soulmate, and while I enjoy the company of men, I'm not interested in anything more than conversation with the others. I spent many years wishing for true love, and I've found it, and I'm not about to throw it all away.

I think that the women you hang around need some serious help. I married my husband because he was the love of my life, and because I couldn't see my life without him in it. I think that it's a crock that people can be so shallow and greedy that they ruin the sanctity of marriage by having affairs.
