Try this:
Take at least 1g of vitamin C per day (to get that dosage I'm afraid you need a supplement, otherwise that would be a lot of kiwis and oranges to eat!
Take echinacea in tablets or tincture to boost your immune system.
Take some propolis tincture, propolis is a natural antibiotic produced by bees to protect their hives.
Avoid eating junk food so that your body has more time to beat the cold rather than eliminate toxins.
Avoid dairy since it increases the production of mucus so you'll feel only more stuffy.
Try steaming to free up the airways: take a big bowl of boiling water, add some eucalyptus oil if you have any, and put you head on top. Breathe in the steam for about ten minutes.

Take a pinch of from all the spices you have at home and add a piece of ginger and 7 basil leaves. Boil them together and drink three times a day for few days. Take one tea-spoon honey twice a day. Inhale steam twice a day. Stop consuming sugar for few days and eat jaggery in lieu. Press the tips of your fingers and thumbs for 10 minutes twice a day on empty stomach for better results. Sneeze the mucus out for comfort.

Keep five black pepper whole after breakfast in your mouth and make them soft inside. Eat them with lunch and by evening you will feel good. Remove your brush from the bath room and keep it in the bed room always. Cockroaches lick your brush in the night and put bacteria there.

Amp up on Vitamin C and Zinc. Drink a glass of hot green tea with Echinacea and Honey in the morning.

Eat only fruits and vegatables during the day plus avoid mucous creating foods such as milk, bread and cheese. Fast from eating meat as your digestive system needs to be ridding itself of toxins and meat will slow down the process. Avoid refined sugar in sugary drinks.

Add a tablespoon of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and one or two drops of wild oregeno oil to a glass of apple juice, pomogranete juice or grape juice three times a day. Add cayenne if you have mucous in your chest, eyes, ears, nose or throat. Drink six glasses of distilled water each day. Drink three glasses of clean water with 1/4 tablespoon of unrefined sea salt.

Drink a glass of hot Green tea with Echinacea and Honey in the evening with Camomile and take a hot bath before you go to bed. Sit in a bathtub with hot water. Add a cup of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon cayenne. Sweat out the toxins and go to sleep.

All sickness comes from the gut. By alkalizing your body and cleansing you will not only cure your cold but also give your body, gut, and skin a wonderful treat.

Honey and lemon drinks and milking it for sympathy will make you feel a bit better! But, sadly, the only infallible cure for the common cold is patience, sorry pal.

GET WELL SOON!

You'll basically need to sleep a lot to let your body fight it out of your system. Also, keep yourself hydrated with lots of water and juice and avoid things like soda. Your body tends to use a lot of water when sick so you don't want to slow the process. Basically, rest as much as you can, and blow your nose as much as possible and drink a lot of water.

Echinacea and Goldenseal, both available in health food stores. You may even find capsules with both in them, which are specific "cold formula" capsules.

Good luck!
