People today have pretty much bought into the concept "All we are is particles, and there's no justice, there's just us." So, they give up the idea of right and wrong, and go for the 51% vote. To many people, nothing is immoral (except what they don't like) and nothing should be illegal (except that they don't like.)

If there is no source of right and wrong other than man, then even if it was against the 'law', or against 'accepted morality', Hitler didn't do anything really wrong, Stalin didn't do anything really wrong, Bin Laden didn't do anything really wrong, and the guy that muders, rapes or abuses YOU or ME doesn't do anything really wrong.

As soon as some defendant has the guts to persuasively say, "Your Honor, I didn't have any choice but to act the way I did, according to the laws of science!" there will be no more law and no more morality.

Can you think of a source of morality outside of Man and independant of Man...?

I think I am confused by your question. Are you saying that murder, rape, and child abuse are only legal because they're moral? If so, then you are seriously mistaken. Murder, rape, and child abuse SHOULD be illegal, because why should we be able to take away, or ruin, someone's life by your actions? If this is not what you mean, then I'm sorry for incriminating you. =)
