Right click on the gray area (anywhere, you can even click where it says Address) and click on "Standard Buttons". That should give you those buttons back.

Right click the top, under the File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, help bar.
Then selete
-+-Standard Buttons which are the back, forward, home, refresh, stop, search buttons....
-+-Address bar which is the address thing
They should all be checked. depending on what you have, there would be more options.

Your toolbars are turned off. On the top bar select View, then toolbars. Make sure your Standard Buttons, Address Bar, and Links are checked. Also any others you might use.
Once you get it the way you want it open again and select Lock The Toolbars.

The history opens, now start clicking the links, may be you find the page you missed.

go up by where it says file,edit ect. clik veiw and the it has a buch of things click to show it then clik status bar

go to tool , internet options, and set the homepage back to your old one... as for the home, refresh, back & stufff... go to view... toolbars.... select the ones u want... hope this helps :)
