Stretch alot!! I don't know if you'll understand this, but try to sit up against the wall with your legs in an "L". The left leg vertically up against the wall with the right leg horizontally against the wall. Hold to a count and then switch. Again I'm sorry if you don't understand. Also, try to do leg strengthening exercises, such as....squats, lunges, and even running! Remember, practice make perfect. Try to do a jump drill, with a variation of jumps to increase the height of your jumps
I don't know about the squad rules, but on our squad we cannot prep on our tippy-toes. So when you go up for the jump concentrate on the motion of your arms. When your arms criss-cross, bend your knees a bit. And then explode from that position. Let your legs strength push you up.
Good Luck!!!

whatever you do dont use ankle weights while running or jumping it builds up water in the knees when u practice if u know anyone with bunkbeds u could use the high bunk to put your foot on and everyday stretch as far and as long as u can pulling yourself closer and closer before you know it you will be a natural if there isnt any high bunks around try to find something just as high it will work trust me i speak from experience because working on your spilt is a total different position than standing up and jumping the bones are aligned differently

Stretch, stretch, stretch! The essential factor is to stretch. I'm seeking to get mine bigger too. The fine factor you wish to do: is take a seat in a straddle role at the floor for approximately thirty seconds. Don't push your self. You do not wish to over-do it. Then stretch out a few extra, in a break up (so far as you'll be able to cross) and different stretches that rather stretch out your legs. I obtained plenty of advantage so I'm certain you will have to too! Good good fortune.

I suggest stretching in combination with using ankle weights when you dance. It is very much a strength exercise.

Practice on a trampoline! It's more fun, and you are in the air longer so you can focus on what you are doing or not doing...
