It resets after the first round. I believe that suspensions do not re-set, so if a player gets a second yellow card in the third match after having one in one of the first two matches and his team advances, he has to sit out the Round of 16 match.

it carries on to the next game so if you put up your second yellow card you will then received a red card and miss one game

u start all over in every game that the player gets the yellow card,but he gets a warning from his coach
