If you want to know your own IP address then surf over to www.whatismyip.com and it will display your IP address. To find out the IP address of someone, follow these steps:

1. Connect to the Internet
2. Go Start menu > All programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
3. At the prompt, type "ping" (without the quotation marks) and then the URL of the website you are interested in and hit [Enter]

For example: ping www.yahoo.com

It depends if you want to find your ip address or someone elses... if you want to find yours you can go to some websites and some of them will well you what yours is.... for example of you go to http://www.preciousd2.com/index.php and on the left hand side it'll tell you your ip address... now if you want to find someone elses... theres a way to get it using MS-Dos, though i dont remember the command.. try to see if you can find it. ... but your gonna need a direct connect to the other persons computer in order for MS-Dos to find it... if you can and if you have AIM you can direct connect to the person and then open MS-Dos and then type the command...
