I fish for walleye every year and i use a variety of different things such as mister twister type jigs rapala's real minnows (usually red shiners or anchovies sold @ sportsmans whse or other fishing takle outlets, worms , thinfins (hard to find),i've even used carp meat but in al due honesty it all depends on a lot of different factors such as the lake you're fishing the water temp the water clarity weather or not they're spawning etc. just remember variety is the spice of life just try a little of everything you can and also remember that what worked last time may not work this time. good luck

Try various lures and live bait. I find time of day important as well. Go around dawn and dusk. Every lake is a little different, try your lures/baits and times and also weather. Enjoy. :)
