Im a cheerlader for high school and for competions, some people think it is easy but I say....... HELL NO!!! Its really hard at times and it makes you a better person and gives you a better self estem!!! What do you think?

I agree with you. I'm a guy cheerleader and at first i thought it would be easy. I was wrong!! I think it is one of the hardest things i do, and i have an all new respect for it. Well good luck with cheerleading and don't listen to those people who don't know any better.

I think cheerleading is pathetic b/c most girls do it for the attention. It is hard, true, b/c it's got a mix of gymnastics in it. But the cheering part is annoying. Although I would never be a cheerleader, I do like watching the squads on ESPN that are good at what they're doing, as much as I like watching dance competitions and gymnastics.

Cheerleading has over the years evolved into a competitive sport in ii's own right rather than just the support role it was originally created for. You are practicing for and achieving complicated and physically demanding tasks in a group and competitive forum. Heck, This stuff is nation wide! even bigger than that!
This gives you a sense of achievement and is very self empowering. I say if it's what you enjoy then go for it kiddo!!!!

i think when you become cheerleaders you become cocky and preps with an attitude just becuz your a cheerleader doesnt mean your so beautiful if it makes you a better person then why are u picking on people that are not into sports your not giving other people good self esteem it makes you pathetic

Think cheerleading is awesome sport! I am a cheerleader and the captain I think it is really easy! But it can be hard! especially if ur a flier!

I think it is one of the most challenging sports. It requires a lot of energy, courage and phyiscal agility to perform it. On the other hand what they do is very spectacular as well. Why? Are you a cheerleader as well?

I think cheerleading is one of the most difficult sports around. Not only is it VERY athletic, but it is also quite the popularity contest.

I am a cheerleader for a all star team and it is so hard. It does teach you a lot though.

no offense, but i've always hated cheerleaders... they were always just way too perky and the ones in my skool were total sluts... im kinda getting out of my hating cheerleaders stage but not totally... still way too perky even for me.. and that says something cuz i am way perky... wen they all stop being bitches, i'll only hate em a little :-)
