depends on how close you are to your family vs. how close you are to the one you love. sometimes you are forcrd to make a choice. You just have to be sure about your decision and own up to it.

I once thought so .I was totally enanmored with my ex wife .when we were first married .
Things change as time goes on .Your spouse gets on your nerves. Lies to you .Steals from you and uses sex as a bargaining tool .When I divorced My FAMILY was my SALVATION.They never did the things my wife did .
They never stopped loving me .
They ALWAYS SUPPORTED Me .For that I am Thankful.
They are still there for me to this day ,as I will be for them if they need me.
This is only my experience ,someone else could counter what I have said.
They would be the exception though .
