Why do women cheat when they have a good man in their lives?

I'm not married nor am I dating. I tend to stick to one night stands. But it seems alot of women here whine because some guy screwed them over so now they want to bash every guy on the planet thinking that they are cheating pigs. When in fact women are just as bad and 99.99999% are just as selfish and inconsiderate. So I ask, Why do women cheat when they have a good man in their lives?

This is a massive generalisation, in my opinion, but we agree on one thing: cheating is never okay, no matter if it is the guy or the girl who does the cheating. Forgiving someone for an affair - or attempting to overlook an affair out of love - is not the same thing at all as saying that affair was okay to begin with. It all depends on that couple. There are plenty of guys I know who would never forgive their female partner for cheating, no matter how much they might have loved her. For me, it's a deal-breaker, full-stop. In society I think there is a generalisation that guys cheat more often than women. I'm not sure if this is true. I think women cheat almost as often but just get caught far less often, because they hide an affair far more skilfully than men would. It's rarely impulsive - they'll think it through and be very careful if they don't want to get caught. I do think that often, women cheat for different reasons. Many guys cheat because they can, or they can't help themselves - it's sexual, less often emotional - and they're often truly in love with their gfs or wives too. They'll often say "But it meant nothing - it was just sex" and IMO that's true a lot of the time. Many women will tell you that they cheated because they primarily sought love and affection with another guy that their current partner did not provide - and the sex was a by-product, never the original goal. It's often an absolute last resort - most of my male friends have claimed that if their wives cheated, they would assume it was because of something they themselves had done wrong.

I have to agree with you here that women can be just as bad and selfish and self centered as some men can be. It is because of sin nature and immorality!
A woman should not ever cheat and never should the man. This is wrong for both to do at any time ever! Problem is most people just dont care and will do it anyway! Very sad indeed. If both women and men alike would just be unselfish and considerate what better marriages and relationships we would have in the crazy messed up world!

There is much truth in what you state about the cheating part: a man can only cheat when there is another woman involved (assuming heterosexuality)! People cheat because they are dissatisfied with their relationship and are unwilling to make an effort to improve it. Just like running a red light while driving, cheating on an exam, or on your taxes, using drugs to stimulate and to mimic the rush otherwise derived from your spirit or lying to a friend or family member because it gets you off of the hook for something - cheating of any kind is a lazy and quick way toward some pleasurable activity or payoff. The United States is full of speed demons who want it all now! People don't want to work anymore to build anything - especially our character. A person who has integrity will not cheat. Period. I guarantee you that if you meet someone who is judgmental and who is willing to bend or omit the truth to get what she wants, she will cheat on you the first chance she either is unhappy with the relationship or has an opportunity to do so.

Well...sometimes "good men" may be secretly annoying, square, antisocial, or excessively needy, but GOOD in the eyes of the public. When this occurs, most women are like well, he's a great boyfriend and I can't find a concrete reason to break up...so I'll cheat(idontwannabthebadguy). In other cases some women may love the man they're with and wanna stay there, but they just wanna have fun. What's a good man anyway. No one is perfect. So for the young lady who made the slut comment, you are totally naive and closed minded.

You may not be doing everything you could be doing. But, I have to say, in my relationship with my wife, we believe strongly that if we can't get it at home.... go ahead and ask for the D word. When someone cheats, it is their issue and I WILL not come back. Tell me what you need up front and what I'm doing wrong. Give me a chance to please you but don't go outside of our relationship. Even a kiss will get you walking papers. I WILL NOT tolerate it. Cheaters will always cheat and you will never reform them. They will promise and that is lies. Once, always. Don't believe it!

Unfortunately, there are both men and women who cheat when they already have a good thing going. Why? My guess is that they lack the self-confidence to believe that someone could really love them *that* much. It's really sad that people have to be so distrustful of each other and of themselves.

Not all men are cheating pigs! I got a good man and never consider cheating on him. You on the other hand my friend will never be able to find a woman without a tail between their legs. Good luck!

most of them dont have a good man at home, they might not talk about it but usually when people cheat they have a good reason too, not everything can be categorized in neat little boxes. A good man is a dying breed, same for a good woman. It's sad but true.

This is the difference between when women cheat and when men cheat, women cheat for emotional reason, like they aren't getting enough attention at hom and men cheat for sexual reason, because men can never have too much sex. Occasionally women will cheat for sex if they aren't getting pleased in bed, but usually it is for emotional reasons.
