If you don't like a certain sport why answer a question about it? Why just not leave well enough alone?

It's the same thing with every other category here (especially religion and politics)...people just like getting their two-cents in, I guess, whether you want their opinion or not. I understand your frustration, though, people could make better use of their time by answering questions that they know something about or where their opinion is actually wanted.

I think its because the way they were raised and the sport the grew up knowing. If a different sport comes along that they never knew about, it is considered stupid by people who dont have expanded horizons or cant handle change. Football (soccer) is a good example. Comedians from the states still ridicule the most watched sport in the world.

They have a 7-12 year old mentality. They just never grew up. They get their kicks off trying to get in an insult war with other people. When they finally do they drop the "ur mom" refrence and bam it's over. As a rule, as soon as someone says "ur mom" they automatically lose whatever arguement or insult game they were playing. Welcome to the new world, where these people, sadly, dominate the internet.

People bash what they don't understand. Personally, I'm not into sports, but I know other people are, and that's okay by me.

I've noticed a lot of political bashing. It gets nasty! And religion, too. And racial differences. I'm glad I'm teaching my kids tolerance.

The can't help themselves, just like you could help spelling sport like this: sorpt. Let it go, really just relax. Nobody forced you to read what they wrote did they?

Because they have to convince others that their sports suck and you should watch my sport.

Hence the soccer fans showing their dislike for American football, and vice versa.
