During early colonization of North America, Native Americans were veiwed as "savages" and needed help in becoming "civilized" and "saved" from their own "heathen" ways. Christianity was pushed upon them through residential schools. Many Native American communities became childless because all the children were forcefully taken away to the residential schools to become assimilated into civilization and learn the "good" christian ways.

Today many reservations have different kinds of churches and many Native Americans still attend. But no not all Native Americans are Christian.

Some Native Americans are Christians. Some are not. Some continue to follow the rituals established by their tribes/clans thousands of years ago.

Some Native Americans are Christians, though many follow traditional religions that are Pagan (non-Christian). Many of these religions are based on the worship of the earth.

I guess it depends on the person. If they believe that Jesus died for their sins, then yes they are Christian. I'm not familiar with traditional Native American beliefs, but some of them I think are not compatible with Christianity.

If someone told you they're 'native american' and you want to make sure your mommy won't object? 'Native americans,' before the un-natives screwed them up did NOT all believe the same thing. Check this site;
