4/(x+3)=6/(4-x)
=>4(4-x)=6(x+3)
=>16-4x=6x + 18
=>16 - 18 = 6x + 4x
=> -2 = 10x
=>-2/10 = x
=> -1/5 = x
=>x = -1/5
I did it by transposing terms and cross multiplying the first step. Since i've solved ur problem please please please please contact me. Remember I study in ninth standard and am a maths and science genius.............
By the way beeeeeeeest of luck for ur test

Cross multply first step:
4(4-x) = 6(x+3)
16-4x=6x+18
16=10x+18
-2=10x
-2/10=x
-1/5=x

you need to multiple by the denominator on both sides to bring each one to the opposite side, so you end up with:
4(4-x) = 6(x+3)
16 - 4x = 6x + 18
16 = 10x + 18
-2 = 10x
-2/10 = x
-1/5 = x
good luck!

4/(x+3) = 6/(4-x)
cross multiplying you get:
4( 4-x ) = 6 ( x + 3 )
16 - 4x = 6x + 18
16 - 18 = 6X + 4x
-2 = 10x
-2/10 = x
-1/5 = x

(4/(x + 3)) = (6/(4 - x))
cross multiply
4(4 - x) = 6(x + 3)
16 - 4x = 6x + 18
-10x = 2
x = (-1/5)
