I watched a movie this weekend, and in the first scene a man comes home to his gorgeous home, gorgeous wife, and two gorgeous girls. The girls ran to him saying 'daddy, daddy, daddy'. Smiling from ear to ear, he kissed his kids and his wife. He seemed pretty happy, but the next scene showed the man looking off into space. He then hired a private investigator to find an old girlfriend. He lied to his wife and then went to go visit this (also married) woman.
Are men ever satisfied with what they have?

And of course, I know this is just a movie with actors. But it does parallel real life and the scenario was meant to be an example.

For men to be really satisfied with what they have, they have to first be satisfied with themselves.
Lots of men did not have positive male role models in their childhood. Someone to show them what it is to be a man. They are left spending the rest of their lives, wondering..."Do I have what it takes to be real man?"
Some men collect expensive toys trying to validate that question. Others become addicted to drugs or porn...others are swallowed into passivity and the only fighting they do is on their PS2.
So, you ask, are men ever satisfied with what they have? Placated, sometimes, but still hollow...it is only when they have recover what has been lost in childhood by walking with the heavenly Father that they are able to realize how empowered they are. Then, they KNOW they have what it takes and what they do or do not have won't matter so much.

I know you realize that it was a movie, so I know not to give you a hard time about that. I think that men and women will only be satisfied when they are content with their selves, when the are happy with who they are, with how they live it makes life more satisfying. When material things are important I think it helps. But then again, that's just my opinion.

My guy is totally happy. I keep him that way and he keeps me that way. It's a two way street. And, that is a movie full of actors, not real life. If you keep your partner/spouse happy, then they won't go for other people (unless they are sick in the head or something). My fiance and I don't believe in doing this, no matter what. So, not all guys/gals are unhappy/looking for something they can't have.

Sometimes people fall prey to FANTASIES, because they can't SEPARATE it from REALITY. These type of people tend to DAY DREAM most of the DAY. Satisfaction should be a unification of TWO MINDS in any relationship and the goals we seek, and can achieve together as a team.

We always seem to want what we can't have, so sometimes this applies to all of us just not men. Sad but true..
