Can you show me on this equation what to do

I assume the equation is:

4/(x+3) = 6/(4-x)

First cross multiply (denominator on left to numerator on right and denominator right to numerator on left)

4(4-x) = 6(x+3)
16-4x = 6x+18

Combine like terms, x's on one side, numbers on the other

16-18 = 6x+4x
-2 = 10x

Divide both sides by 10 to isolate the x

-2/10 = 10x/10
-2/10 = x
-1/5 = x

That's it! Have fun!

I assume you don´t intend to use brackets, so I´ll go along with the question as you´ve stated it.
4/x + 3 = 6/4 - x = 3/2 -x

=> x + 4/x = 3/2 - 3 = -3/2
=> x² +(3/2)x + 4 = 0
=> x = (-3 +/- sqrt(55)*i)/4

1. Cross multiply.
2. Isolate x.
3. Solve for x.

We can't do any more if you don't tell us exactly what's in the denominator. Is it 4/x or 4/(x+3)?

4/X + 3 = 6/4 - X
4/X + 3 = 3/2 -X

(x 2X) Highest common factor

8 + 6X = 3X - 2XX

(XX = X to the square)
move 2XX and 3X to the otherside where the negative sign change to positve, positive change to negative)

2XX + 6X - 3X + 8 = 0
2XX + 3X + 8 = 0
You will be unable to find the values of X as the line isn't a quadratic equation

4/(x+3) = 6/(4-x)
4(4-x) = 6(x+3)
16 - 4x = 6x + 18
16 - 18 = 6x + 4x
-2 = 10x
x = -2 / 10
x = -1/5 or -0/2

by cross multiplication:
16-4x=6x+18
10x=-2
x=.2
