Watching movies like Hostel and others, they don't portray the country in a good light. IS it really that bad?

I've been there and it was OK, the center was beautiful, the rest of the town as in any other socialist capital... It's not as bad as movies as Euro trip and Hostel show it... Go and see for yourself, no one can tell you what to think!

Bratislava is great. Can't remember the name of the pension where I stayed, but it was nice and clean, with great staff, etc. Definitely worthwhile, at least for a night or two.
