Divorce is allowed, but considered the worst thing among the permitted things and is discouraged in islam. Islamic rule about divorce is the most practical one.
If a guy really want to divorce his wife he should say it literally & should stay with his wife a month( a time period enough I will say, for both of them to consider the matter and their well wishers & community to give a hand for their union), if the decision is not changed he has to repeat this one more time, then third time he say he is divorcing his wife, ofcourse there is no more relationship bw them but she shd wait 3 months and then , both r free and no remarriage bw them(the rule is explained in Quran, the holy book) . It is really serious.
In case of a divorce, the entire financial responsibility of their children is on the father & if mother is breast feeding the child of the divorced father he shd take care of her expenses too.
Divorce is not throwing the wife in street, but they are asked to do it in peace if there is no other way and other family relation shd stay as such. the parents of the husband will be still considered as the wife's parents even after divorce.
think if divorce is not allowed & a girl has to stay with a cruel man who abuses her all the time.
Islam encourages remarriage of widows too

As per Islam, marriage is a contract between two parties for staying together, the man maintaining the woman hes married to.He can marry four women, provided there are genuine reasons for the polygamy.Islam forbids clandestine love affairs.Islam also forbids divorce, and says in very extreme cases should a man divorce his wife.In full sanity and by uttering three times ,not in succession at one time.In presence of Quazi. The period of uttering 'talaaq'(divorce should be given a considerable period and not in a fit of rage or in drunken state. There has to be valid reasons for divorcing his wife, one of them being adultery, incurable diseases, and arrogance. She in no way should be treated with disrespect even if the man divorces her.
After divorce a period of 'iddat' of three months has to be observed to avoid dispute of parentage. She can remarry after three months to any other man but not the man divorcing her.If the man wants to remarry her,she has to legally marry another man ,get divorce from him and then can marry her previous husband. This shows divorce is not a matter of running where the mind takes, but a responsible thing.Allah is against divorce,as per Islam.
Divorces are never in favour of women,no matter what religion she belongs to.A woman never thinks of discarding the love she thinks she would get from marital harmony.
A woman cant divorce a man here. But the code of conduct for men as per Islamic laws are more often then not observed by men.Making others think and observe Islam as against women, which isnt the case.

NO, isalm gives more rights to women, isalm gives the woman the right of her persoanl property without any of her huband's control over it, Islam gives the woman the right of divorce after giving him his dowery, & the husband yes can divorce his wife but if he doesnt approve of the divorce he 'll have to pay coz he divorced her without her approval.
