Now that news is available online, wouldn't it save a lot of trees to just access the news that way? Is there something... better?... about having an actual newspaper in your hand? Personally, I miss having the Sunday paper.

i like getting all the news on line but this one dog town i live in you have to pay to read the "paper" online so i get one at work for free. it usually is only about 4-6 pages.i'm not going to give them their $ .75 for that little. yes the internet saves alot of trees but that puts alot of people out of work. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

I only get the Sunday paper and look up the others online. Personally newspaper ink makes me sneeze and it is a huge waste of paper.

If have have made the the move to online newspapers, a great way to read newspapers from all over the world is onlinenewpapers.com. It provides an easy way to find newspapers on the web. I heard about it on BBC's click program. Nope, I don't work there at onlinenewspapers.com. :-)

For one thing, its its on line, you HAVE to sit in from of your computer where for News PAPER, you can read any way you want Weather Upside down, eating your breakfast, walking around, just sitting anywhere around house, outside, while at the park, just about anywhere.

Of course there's something better, you can do all the different puzzles AND you can be annoying by taking the different sections out and messing them up muahahahahahahahaha and normally they have jobs on a certain day in the local paper and the jobs are local rather than searching online where they think local is in a different country.

Online content doesn't usually have all of the story.
Having a tangible paper in your hands lets you read the article in-detail wherever and whenever you want to.

Much of the newspaper is made using recycled paper so the number of trees affected is minimal.

Well, I don't print out all of the Yahoo Questions before answering them, nor do I write my answers on paper first before typing them in. So I can get used to reading the news electronically as well!

.. but I'll admit that the smell and feel of a book adds something to my reading experience.
