Thank you all those who answered this question. I placed it in Myth and Folklore because I was interested if people are practical and logical or open to ideas and enjoy the idea of myths.....I also like the funny ones too.

No. I think that's there's a molting bird around somewhere. Right now our lake is full, well - not "full" - of white feathers floating on top of the water. It's from the seagulls losing their feathers. There's a bunch of little brown ones in front from a mama duck being chased by two mallards playing grab *** with her. I will think of you the next time I'm out on the lake and whenever I see a feather I will think I must be truly blessed to live such a peaceful life.

That's just a myth. It is only a white feather floating in the air.

When I see a white feather floating in the air, I see a white feather floating in the air. Sometimes, I even get this temptation to eat a greasy cheeseburger.

No, I don't. Not that I don't believe there are angels because I do, but I don't believe in that feather stuff. I don't think a white feather has ever floated near me.

I can't say that the thought ever crossed my mind, but then again I don't believe that in my 42 years I have ever seen a white feather floating in the air...

I believe in angels, but when I read your question the image in my mind was of Forest Gump sitting at the bus stop and the white feather drifting down. I trust in my guardian angel.

Do you really thing there are angels with white feather wings? Grow up, if your smart enough to get on the Internet you should be smart enough to know better than that!

No, but it's a lovey thought, but the Angel's I've seen don't have the wings, and feathers, tell you what next time i see one I look up hoping.

Love & Peace

I saw a lot of different coloured feathers the other day after a pheasant with no road sense walked out in front of my car. Maybe it was one of his!

Most likely it's a bird that lost it's feather in flight
or from a territorial bird fight
