For Sadiemylady...thanks for asking...
I never could make up my mind...I wanted to be an air stewardess as I wanted to travel...I soon realised that I am terrible at working odd hours and it was just not me...I am now doing something I never thought I would do in a million years and that is teaching although even now I want to work on my art....so its strange where we all end up...

I always wanted to be a sports/news anchor. Right out of high school I went away to college and took broadcasting, got my diploma and started working my dream job!

I don't remember what I said that was a very long time ago. The only thing I am sure about is that I didn't achieve it. I am not sure why I didn't but I can't believe what I do now is what I said I wanted to be. I must have made some very bad decisions during my life time to get me where I am at today. Don't get me wrong I am not unhappy with what I am and what I do. It just isn't what I thought it would be like. Now at my age it is just to late to go back and have a do over

I wanted to be a fashion designer. Went to art school but transferred over to photography. Vowed when I left that I would never do weddings or pornography - ended up doing one of them!
Met an ex boyfriend years ago who asked me about the photography and what I'd ended up doing. That spurred me onto going to university, getting a teaching degree and I have been suffering these last seven years!!!!!

I wanted to be a lawyer, and decided to get a master's degree just to have something to fall back on. While getting the master's, I got a job as a legal secretary to see if I would like the field. It was horrible; not what I expected at all. I quit the legal secretary's job and went to work for the government. That allowed me to participate in the laws, but not have to go to school to do it. I ended up loving it, getting my master's, and wouldn't go back and do anything different. Now I have three kids, and stay at home with them. I miss my job, but love being with the kids more. I'm curious to hear more stories, too. What is your story?

When I was young I wanted to be a veterinarian. As soon as I realized how queasy it made me to dissect an animal I decided that wasn't the job for me LOL...
Then I decided that I wanted to go into some sort of Child Advocacy work (social work, child psychology etc) and yes I have done it! I love my career!!!

I wanted to be a teacher, but I found out how much I hate being around children. I am good at admin which is what I do at the moment, but I might start studying to be an ESOL teacher soon.

I told the careers advisor that I wanted to be a nun or a prostitute - I got kicked out of class for that.
No, I didn't become either.
I wanted my own office, which I did have for 10 years but have given that up since.

No, most kids always pick something like doctor, nurse, lawyer, teacher, vet, fireman.....the basics because that's what they seen on TV or what their parents want them to be. Plus, they have no clue the amount of unique and interesting other job that are out their.

I wanted to be a veterinarian. The closest I ever got was to work at an animal shelter.
