It's not necessary but it can help. I'm slim and I attract plenty of men. But I think it's personality that truly matters at the end of they day. Having a great body or just being hot can last so long.

Be who you are, if you're not slim, who cares? At least the guy you're with will want you for who you are, not what you look like.

It's not really necessary to be thin to attract a boy but as your size goes up the percentage of boys you attract goes down. It's just a fact of life. I hope you don't let your weight get out of control. It's best to stay in shape for your own health and self confidence and also to keep the percentages in your favor.

As long as you're not obese & take care of how you look a guy would find you attractive!
As for getting a guy to LIKE you - that's tough - because different guys like different personalities. Physical Attraction comes first but it you don't have the personality to back it up - you're just another boring beauty that guys date here and there as a trophy (and / or marry as a trophy - but if that's what you want that's ok too =D).

I don't think it's highly neccessary for a girl to be slim because it all depends on what attributes a guy likes in a girl. Some like slim, some with alil meat, some with a lot, it's all what attracts a guy, and vice-versa for women.

If your obese, you have no chance of attracting a normal boyfriend. You might find a chubby chaser, but that's the best you can hope for. If you're merely overweight, so is the rest of the country. Sure you can find a boyfriend, but if you start to exercise and diet, you will find a better boyfriend. Join a health club, good place to meet men, and read the book by Kathy Smith, Lift to Lose.

Not necessarily. But deny it or not, for the majority of the much younger age group, yes, looks and physique will be the main form of attraction.

You will notice that as you grow and get into the older, and more mature age group, looks and physique will slowly be replaced by personality and intelligence.

short answer "no" ... long answer is that it's a complex issue and zillions of variables cloud answers. fact is that media and society in general tend to brainwash women into buying into the 'slim' mythology (social control?) but hostorically, the 'slim' biz is a recent trend.
