She goes down at night just fine. Sleeps from about 8pm to 6am with only sometimes a feeding at night, not always. But she is horrible about taking naps. Any suggestions?

I have a 4 month old son...
IF you are nursing him, have to tried to nurse him for his naps?

What I find is I Swaddle my baby and turn on soft music, comfort him and rock him to sleep. I keep this routine everyday at the same time. A 4 month old bby will nap usualy an hour to a half an hour 3 times a day.

Remeber that they are constantly growing and changing....So we as mommies need to change with them.

consistancy is the key. You don't want to go without nap time because a baby without a nap at around the of 2 is a very bad experiance. Just try to lay the child down at the same time everyday even if she cries. Just don't let her cry for more than a half an hour though. Then the next day do it all over again eventually she will firgure it out.

If you feel she is tired and needs to take a nap, put her down on her crib with soft music playing. Even if she doesn't fall asleep, she'll get used to her "down" or rest time. She's little enough that she won't throw a fit if you just let her be for at least an hour or so in the morning and in the afternoon.

When you have a little one, your schedule must revolve around him/her for a few months. Routine, quiet time before naps to help relax you and baby, soft lullabyes (music), humming, ride in the car, swaddling ( wrapping tight and holding), rocking chair..... this time is precious for baby and you. Enjoy! My 7 mth old takes naps well, I wish he slept better at naptime. Good Luck!

Start adding some rice cereal to her bottle of formula (cut the nipple just a little to help it come out)I started my daughter on this at 21/2months and she started sleeping great, she was also a preemie and now at 6mo is ranking at normal growth charts.

Don't force her to nap...she'll sleep when she wants to. Count your blessings that she's sleeping through the night...you are very, very fortunate!

i think if she is sleeping so good through the night she may not need much sleep during the day. if she isnt tired dont make her sleep, or you might mess up the night sleep.
