No, there are lots of reasons (both valid and not) for people to be against gay marriage. (Note: These are not my personal opinions, necessarily. I'm just listing everything I can imagine for why someone might say they don't approve.)
Some people might be prejudiced or disgusted by homosexuality.
Some people are just blindly following religious beliefs they've never questioned.
Some people are following religious beliefs that they HAVE questioned and still come to the conclusion that homosexuality is wrong or abnormal.
Some people with experience of homosexuals might think the relationships are psychologically unhealthy (regardless of the APA's stance) and thus can't endorse it in good conscience.
Some people just think marriage should be restrained to a man and a woman, since the "slippery slope" argument (while sometimes overused) suggests that eventually people could try to push for marriages between adults and children, or adults and other things. (Sounds stupid in some ways, yes, but there's a grain of truth there. One hundred years ago, probably no one imagined that their descendants might endorse same-sex marriages.)
Some people believe in gay people having civil unions that give them many rights of being married, but believe that marriage itself is a religious convention that should be restrained to a man and woman.
Some people also don't want people to be forced to accept same-sex marriage if their state has already said it's illegal but some OTHER state approves the union. There's a lot of potential legal issues since states can individual decide what to do, and then people can move. (Is the marriage now recognized or not?)
In any case, as you can see, there are many reasons besides "being a closet gay" why someone might oppose gay marriage. And to be honest, I think the "closet gay" scenario is the weakest possibility. It worked in the movie "American Beauty" :) -- but as far as I can tell there are many people who are against it not for that reason at all.

No. I'm against it because marriage is a religious concept for the joining of men and women and most religions condemn homosexuality. The "State" has no right to impose upon religious beliefs. I am in favor of a civil ceremony so that people have fair legal rights.

NO. I think everybody has their own way of thinking and their own image of "the way the world should be". I'm sure there are some people out there bashing gays because deep down they have homosexual tendencies themselves, but not all. Its kind of like racist.. do they deep down want to be another race.. Um NO. There are all kind of haters and if their werent there wouldnt be as many openly Gay couples in my opinion alot of people claim to be BI-sexual to fit in now.. EXAMPLE Anne Heche- whats up with that crazy chick anyway?? Some people will do anything for attention I suppose. to answer your question.. some-maybe, but all? its highly doubtful.

Not at all. Most people I know who are against gay weddings seem to have that opinion because of social or religious upbringings that they have never really thought to challenge.
I think there may be one or two people who are closeted, but on the whole I'd say the opinion comes from straight people

no, those who understands and heard of their God's saying through the true Book, and believe in God's words will against the gay marriages. its the obedience that counts, no need to further elaborate on why God says no to whatever actions or way of life, because our intellectualities are limited in compare to God's orders...

I think people spend too much time over analyzing everything and trying to find the hidden meaning when much of the time there isn't one.
Sometimes black IS black and white IS white, sometimes they don't make a GREY.

As tempting as that theory is, no. If that were true, then there would be a LOT more homosexuals in this world than we previously thought!
