aim is free, aol isn't....just go to www.aol.com and click on sign up or get a screen name. u can get one 4 free if ur over 13 years old. u can download aim for free to. now aim has made it where you can get all icons and smileys and backgrounds for free 2!

Nope AIM is a free download that has advertisements. AOL costs money but the aim messaging client does not cost a single penny.

no, you just download the program from the website and you have it. But be careful, a lot of my friends got viruses from it.
