was it the ridiculous prices? Was it the stupid terms of service( no swearing, no bad grammer etc)? Was it the lack of service? Was it the crappy chats? Did you finally get off your AOl addiiction and didnt need it anymore?

Wow! Those are most of the reasons I dumped. Plus (among crappy service) I never could get anyone to address my concerns.

AOL intially set up my account using a credit card. After a year of being a loyal customer, I called and requested a pay by mail account. They agreed, lowered my monthly rate, and mailed me a bill. They continued to bill my credit card for another three months for the account I had cancelled, and, to make matters worse, had increased the rate they were billing the card. I eventually closed out all service with AOL and switched to BellSouth.

all of of the above

High prices for horribly slow dial-up service, tons of spam in my email account, constantly unable to connect or stay connected. I also hated how they much they manipulate so many other businesses into doing their bidding. AOL is the evil empire, no question about it.
