Drink alot of water and I do mean alot.
Nyquil is good to help you get over symptoms.
Move around and get some exercise to increase your metabolism and get blood flowing.

Start taking a daily multi vitamin. You will get sick a lot less and get over it faster.

Drink orange juice, not just for vitamin c, but for it's antioxidants that can help you too. Of course a sore throat may get in the way of that.

Spicy food will clear your sinuses instantly. Hope this helps!

Drink lots of water, or other very light liquid, at least one glass every 45 minutes. Take 500 to 1000 mg Vitamin C. Rest.

If you have a bad sore throat and fever for several days go see a doctor.

For common cold, there is no medicine. One of my friend, who is a doctor used to say that "you can recover from cold in a week if you have medicines otherwise it would just take 7 days." From your question, I can understand that you are suffering a lot. I would recommend you to have some steam inhalation or apply some kind of balm that would block your running nose or have the tablet Cetrizine which would relieve you from cold temporarily,

Start off by taking either Drixoral or Dimetapp for post nasal drip. Also Robitussin for caughing. Vitamin C lozenges seem to work for me. Chicken noodle soup or broth nice and hot and sipped. Drink plenty of fluid.

ZICAM! I'm serious. I didn't believe it myself at first, but we got a cold right before we left on our cruise to the Bahamas and we decided to try it out. I was starting to feel better within three hours of taking it. Now we have it in our medicine cabinet all the time. Good luck and get better soon!

My wife just had it. It took about 12 days for it to run it's course. All I can say is just wait for a few more days. You'll get better.
