I know other people have asked this before, but I wasn't them, this is the 1st time I've ask... so excuse me "Oh Boy!" that a couple people out of the millions of users have asked the same question.

"Tin Knocker Al" got it right. All those people who said, "You think that this is hard? They are the same!" Well ha! Because even you got fooled. He was right: A pound of feathers. Some would say a pound is a pound, but the fact is: Gold is a precious metal and is therefore weighed in the Troy system of measurement. This means that a pound of gold weighs only 12 oz and a pound of feathers weighs 16 oz.

A pound of feathers weighs more than a pound of gold
because feathers are weighed by avoirdupois weight,
which has 16 ounces to a pound,

while gold is always weighed by troy weight
which only contains 12 ounces to a pound.

How many times are you going to ask this stupid question?

Wrong dope. A pound of gold and a pound of feathers weigh the same. It's simply that the same pound is broken down into fewer ounces (troy ounces) when weighing gold. Thus, an ounce of gold weighs more than an ounce of feathers but a pound of gold weighs the same as a pound of feathers.

Neither. They weigh the same: One pound.

The only difference is, a pound of gold is much smaller than a pound of feathers.

Well, considering weight is how much an object tries to go against gravity, I'd say the gold because the feathers have air resistance and such.

even though they are both the same weight i will say gold
because i would say a pound of gold would hurt more dropped from a building onto ur head than a £ of feathers.
that may sound stupid but it really makes sense.
