in rugby theres no padding the players are much tougher

American football has to have pads because of the size and speed of the players. Many guys that play rugby would not stand a chance in American football as they would not be powerful enough. All you have to do is take a look. Rugby is a tough game I do agree but don't knock ours because it's actually more violent and faster. Soccer is just what it is and we can't very well call it football when we already have football now can we? Also, why is it Europeans or wherever you come from why don't you quit bashing America. Tired of it man. Do you understand?

First of all dont even compare rugby and football because they are on 2 different plateaus. Football players have a whole lot more dedication to there sport because what they have to do to play if professionally. Football players have to be able to lift tremendous amounts of weight, and they have some of the best endurance in the world. Rugby players would not stand a chance against real American Football players like Larry Allen. Let me tell you something about larry allen, and tell me if rugby palyers can do this. Larry allen last year lifted 250 pounds 41 times straight.

If u have padding or not, it doesn't mean u are tougher, its how hard u play is how tough u are, if u play injured ur tough. how much do rugby players get paid? If it's less than American, thats what happens when u play without pads, u get knocked in the head too hard and u don't know how much money u should get. If it is less, we are smart, we don't get hurt as much, and we still get big $$$$$.

First of all have you ever even watched or played american football? I thought so. And not just a clip, the whole thing? We wear padding because the impact is at higher speed than rugby and we aren't crazy. I call soccer football alot even though it annoys people. And im american. Also is it so wrong to protect yourself in a high contact sport?

I would like to see you don a set of FOOTBALL pads get hit by a person like Jerome Bettis and see how well you can take it. I am not slamming Rugby. It's an entertaining sport, but they do not hit one another like they do in FOOTBALL. As for SOCCER or what I call Futbol, it looks like a bunch of retarded monkeys running around trying to kick a little ball into a huge net. They fail most of the time. What a stupid game.

Its called football not AMERICAN football the Commonwealth country's they got jealous of American.

At that point they wanted to be like the Americans so much they name their soccer football because they run around trying to kick a ball in a net which takes no talent.

The Americans did not mine them calling their game football because the USA has other things to worry about like feeding people in other country's and fighting their wars when they need us.

Look, if you think rugby is better, then fine. However, I'm guessing that a 280 linebacker is going to level the average professional rugby player. Because the weights are higher, the players are stronger, and they run a whole helluva lot faster.
