Even in a family, it's not easy to get along with each other. I don't think your best friend can become part of your family member. There's gonna be some problems if you're together with him for some time. When you stay together, even a small matter can turn out to big one if you can't put up with it. It's OK not to say anything you don't like if he stays for a while. But as time past, I think you cannot take it anymore.

Yes, my bestfriend lives in my home!. We've been best friends for over 20 years. She became very ill almost 2 yrs ago and lost everything. Her JOB, her housing and most of all her healthy life. She moved in with me and my family in March 2005. Yes, she is still Ill but doesn't have to worry about how she's going to make ends meet.
We have a great arrangment. She cooks, watches our daughter in the summer months, gets her off to school in the school months, she my best friend and will live with us until the days she departs this earth!

Of course, I think the best kinds of best friends are family members. My best friend is my brother, him and I are closer than close. We call eachother at least once everyday (he's in the airforce and had to move away). The best thing about them is the fact that no matter what you do or what you tell them, they will always love you and see you for who you are!

Yes that is entirely possible. My son years ago used to hang with a friend and I told the wife I thought maybe my son's friends parents adopted him since we did not see our son very much during that time. They are still friends but my son and his friend are both grown now and live in different parts of the country.
It's just a stage believe me!!!!
Good Luck!!!!

It could happen if he hangs at your house all the time and you and your family wants him to be a part of your family and if you want you and your family can even adopt him.

If you hang out with him/her more than your family, eats at your house, even sleeps there, then consider them a part of the family

absolutely. I have discovered in life we have a true blessing of being able to pick our friends and sometimes even our family. Sounds like the picking was done for you and you got lucky
