Angels and demons is a better book, by far.

No, I read A&D because it comes before DVC and couldn't stand how stupid it was. The antimatter explosion would have been twice as big since both the antimatter and the matter areannihilated and would have given off a hyper-lethal amount of radiation that would have cooked the flesh from his bones. And the tarp as a parachute thing would have either ripped or been torn from his fingers. The descriptions of the architecture and the ambigrams were nice but the story just was irredeemable.

I never read davinci.
