i put the test on my dresser, this morning i got up to throw it away and it was positive...what does this mean? i dont want to retest...anyone ever had this happen? the positive would have shown up after the ten minute check time...what should i think about this?

The test is only accurate during the instructed reading time. After that time the test begins to decompose and is no longer valid. :(

It's very common for that to happen. That is why you aren't suppose read a test after 10 minutes. But it doesn't mean you are pregnant just the paper dried. If you still have doubts, taking a test right before bed is the most inaccurate time to take it. If you are pregnant the hormone that makes the test come out positive is at its lowest at that time of day. For more accurate result take the test with you first mornings urine (take the test as soon as you wake up).

Retest, If you want to be pregnant then you probably won't retest,but if it doesn't matter if you are or not then a test that was negative and turned to positive by sitting over night could have had something spilled on it or just from it sitting in the air could have made it changed.

It is so very worth it to repeat the test! make sure your pee does not get all over the stick! just on the tip. Put it up high somewhere and leave it alone for the 10 min. Then read it, and go with those results. Though, If you have missed your period, you really should go in somewhere and get a blood test done. that is the most accurate. good luck!

You need to do the test again to make sure. Because you are not supposed to look at the test after 10 minutes. That has happened to a friend of mine and it was positive later on. She retook the test and it was negative. She was not pregnant.

I was told that any positive test is accurate even if it doesn't show exactly clear or not right away. Call the doctor and get a blood test if he will or just go to see the doc.

your test was negative. retest in a few days. after the ten minute window it may appear positive but its not take another test. as of right now your body is not testing positive. if your not late for your period wait til it is late

I bet you are pregnant. It can take over ten minutes for some test. You HCG hormone might be very low. Go get a dollar store test, and take it first thing in the morning.

ur probablly are pregnant take the test at your first urination of the day. Definatly retest. Then go to a Doctor prenatal care is very important.
