I have no idea. Makeup is supposed to cover flaws, not paint your face like a billboard. You're supposed to wear it so people can't tell that you're wearing makeup. I guess that's not how it is now.

I have no idea. I wish these 11-14 or even possibly 15 year olds mothers would teach them that make up is meant to look barely there. I didn't start wearing make-up till I was 16 and I know of girls that are 11 wearing it! And I enjoy wearing it because I waited till I was older. It's fun but it's also fun to just go without sometimes too.

It is thought that women who wear too much make-up fall into this category; they are insecure and therefore "hiding" behind a few pounds of make-up makes them feel more secure.
I think too, it's just poor judgement. Some people think "more" is better, no, the other way around. Just look at what the good make-up artists do, it is minimal, unless it's for a shoot or something professional where the "street" make-up won't be picked up. Otherwise, you are to use make-up to enhance, not detract from your natural beauty.

I personally do not wear much of it , but i cant leave home without eyeliner and mascara. Usually like in my case is to emphasise the good and hide the ugly , but when it comes to wear all that fundation and put everythig there is out there is because some kids want to appear to others like older than they are and viceversa with older women. You can cover a lot of imperfections with make up we are never happy with what we have , but like they say " any excess is always bad..."

I wear a lot of eye makeup, but very little everything else. Why would I do it? I have big eyes and my goal is to make them even bigger by adding some dramatic effects to them. I usually won't cake it on if I'm going to be in the sun all day. No one likes melty make up. But at night, when it's cooled down, I like dramatic, big, and bold. It suits my personality.

It's all about *moderation.* Heavy make-up is appropriate for special occasions or evenings out. Other than that, make-up is supposed to hide flaws & make you look like you're not wearing anything. What's also important to remember is age-appropriacy. Some kids just don't know how to do it right & they end up looked retarded & uglier than they really are.

Good question...well personally I do'nt wear too much of the stuff, only tinted moisturizer, mascara, gloss and blush...all these things to enhance my features. without it I'll look really washed out. I'm a mix of Filipina-Spanish and Chinese, so I'm fair skinned with dark hair. Without makeup I'd be blah.

I will barely wear any, just enough to highlight my features. But most that I know wear so much of it that their faces look unreal or like they are clowns. Besides, a lot of makeup isn't good for the skin

Only some do. Others wear make-up with out overloading it. The ones who wear too much are hiding something

Because they are society zombies. Rather than go after what they want in a man and in life, they believe the commercials that tell them all they need to do is buy this make up and people and things will be magically attracted to them.
