I am in the u.s army and am currently in Iraq. I support what ever is best for our country, or to help other country's. Yeah it kinda sucks being over here and all but it really could be a nice place if it got straightend out. This is the 2nd time i have been to Iraq so after this time i will have total of 2 years in Iraq. and if i get out and they need people to come back in i would do it in a heart beat. The army is not just a job, it is like a brotherhood. The guys in my platoon are really close and we all care for each other. They will be you brothers for life and many of us come from differnt parts of the world, and might not see each other again, but there will all ways be part of them with me in my heart. Putting your life on the line for one of your buddies or even if it is people you dont know is hard but once you have done it and you know that it could have turned out to be fatal if you had not been there it makes it well worth all the time away form family and friends. Another 6 months and hopefully i will be home till thin i will just be doing what i love. 11B (Infantry)

Yes. If the situation came to that, I would go. But the draft isn't necessary, because we are solving the problem now instead of letting the problems get bigger. Unlike WWII, we are being preemptive and that action is going to save lives.

Oh, I did the research you suggested. If you can suggest some sources that are not left wing propaganda dribble, I'd appreciate it. That's all I found.

Yes I would, but I'm already in the Army.

However I think mandatory service of at least 2 years would do this nation some good.

I would go without complainnin'
I'm not scared to go do something I think is right just bacause there's a chance I would get killed...I would feel REALLY bad and I'd be ashamed of myself if I didn't go IF the government does a draft...

what about you, chicken???? Think you are entitled to die of old age in your retirement home in Florida? Did god say David T., you are guranteed to live to the ripe old age of 105 and will never be asked by your fellow countrymen to protect them during a time of war? People like you will be the downfall of our great country.

Sad.....spreading more fear in hopes of winning a few elections....shame on you. Our men and women are dying over there so you can publish this dribble. I wonder what rights you would enjoy under the al queda leadership if you wanted to sit back and wait for that to happen?

I think it would be the right to bow your head before....

They probably will avoid your question like
all other issues about their sick selves. The answer
is no. They don't want to know about the war or
it's consequences. They don't want "think" about the
steps their president takes which undermines their own status as
Americans. They are weak in the mind and the body!
