Just right click on the webpage you want to make a short cut for and then theres an option to make a shortcut. Just put the shortcut on your desktop. It will ask you if you want to put the shortcut on your desktop and if you answer "yes" it should put it on your desktop for you. If you want your own icon for it, then just pick an icon you like and then make a shortcut of it to your desktop. Right click on the icon and then click on properties. You can change the location to the web address of my yahoo!

Yesss,,go to start>programs>scroll down to yahoo tab..right click on it and on dropdown click on send to desktop as shortcut.
