Unfortunately everytime you go onto the Internet you are subjected to a bombardment of sniffing and tracking software. There are certain hidden ports on every pc that can sometimes be exploited to load spyware and tracking software on the hard drive on your pc. To protect yourself or at least try to go to download .com and download Spybot and install it on you pc and run it at least every couple of days to identify the spyware on your pc and delete it. You can also download a lot of other free software that wiil remove adware, also go into your internet tools and delete all the cookies on a regular basis and delete all the temporary files. But even doing all this won't completely stop the junk but it will help some. Also make sure that you have a firewall up and running everytime you go online.

everytime you give away your email address to some website where you purchase something etc. The company you purchased something from probably sold your email address to a marketing group. This is how they make extra money gathering up email addresses and then selling them to marketing groups. Once the marketing group has your email address they in turn sell it to another marketing group and so it goes over and over from one group to another...best thing to do is create two email addresses. One you use for friends and family, one you use when you have to register your email address with a website. This way your personal email account will not get spread around the net

Welcome to the club. If you post your email online or you join any public groups where your email is exposed or your computer is infected with spyware, you will get spammed to death. First thing you need to do is to make sure you do not have spyware or viruses/trojans in your system. Then open a new email account and only give your email address to trusted friends & family members. Tell them not to put your email in any sort of chain letter becoz that's another way that people gather other people's email address.

Mostly by the sires you visit. People that visit porn sires get a lot of nutty stuff. People that gamble on the net also get real high pressure scam offers. Some just get sent to anyone they can get to. It is a problem for a lot of people. there are some programs that help sort them and keep them out. Yahoo has one that works well and is free.

When ever you register at a website your name and info goes into a database. It is then sold to others who sell it to yet others. If i would you i would set up the spam filter either at your isp or email program to the highest level. This should lower the amount of spam you receive.

They get your e-mail addresst when you click on different websites. Unless you are willing to stop "surfing", you will continue to get them. When you get them, you should be able to report them as spam. I use Yahoo e-mail, and all I have to do is highlight the particular message and click the "spam" button at the top of the screen.

If you open one of these scam E-Mails you validate your e-mail address. Change your SPAM settings and delete all bulk items without opening them.

Use a SPAM filter. If you use YAHOO, then use the REPORT SPAM button every time.

Everybody gets this.

Maybe you should go to download.com and get Ad-aware and SpyBot Search & Destroy and clean out your computer.

Good luck
