I attended Penn State University for my English degree from 2001-2005. Currently, I am attending law school, but it was really my days at Penn State that made me feel proudest about my academic life.

I accepted Penn State's letter of admission without even seeing the school first, but it was the best decision I ever made. I traveled all the way from the Pacific northwest to go to school there and the minute I stepped foot on the expansive campus, I loved it. Penn State is one of those "old school" universities that holds high standards for education but also instills as much tradition and history to rival all the old Ivy League schools. It is startling just how many Penn State students know all the fight songs, all the campus and building history, all the surrounding town history, legends, etc. They don't take courses in traditions and history, they just come to know it all on their own.
