Living in fear of death is v. unhealthy. Death is the one thing we all have in common and it's inevitable: when we loose our fear of death we become stronger, calmer, happier. Death is a transition, like birth. I believe that the earth is where we come to learn lessons, and when we've learnt and taught what we set out to do, then we return to our soul groups, have a holiday and eventually decide what to do next and (roughly) how to do it.

I don't think of death as a predator, and I think death is a tool of evolution.Death is what happens to specific individuals in the course of life, and death gradually eradicates evolutionary dead ends and "failed species".(a species can fail due to too much success,if it consumes all it's food sources, for example...)The way of the warrior teaches people to embrace death as a good friend, and while not deliberately seeking it out,to embrace it at the end of life.Of course, for the warrior, there aren't many options. This philosophy is just a way of dealing with the inevitable.
Now,without getting too Religious, most people believe in some form of After-life.This may simply be another way of dealing with the inevitable,as well, but no-one can know what lies beyond that final frontier.Reports of near death experiences may be biological, rather than spiritual, according to some sources.
I, for myself, have chosen not too fear death, but to live life as best as I can.

Death is a certainty...no-one should be afraid of death, only be afraid of the way this may happen....Darwin was a bit of an idiot thinking that people would want to live forever...imagine the pain of the never ending memories.

Death is as much a part of life as being born is. The death of our bodies, does not mean the death of the essence of our being, ie, our spirit and soul. Our spirits and souls are eternal things. They are our life force. Force may change its makeup, but the power of it is still there. Death is not to be feared. You didn't ask to be born, but you were. Death is the same, you don't ask for it (unless you are suicidal), but it happens. We go back to where we where created, before our birth. One day, you realized you were here, and one day you will realize you are no longer here, you will be in another place.
Personally, I believe in two destinations, Heaven, or hell. Its our choice as to where we go.

Donot be afraid of death.Birth is not sure but death is sure.We cannot do anything about it.Enjoy life. But there is life after death.Death is not the end.
Fear of death is overcome by Christians ,with the hope of being with HIM,moslems heaven,Hindus NIrvana etc.Believe in any one of this.In the soul's endless journey, that period on earth is called life, but the journey continues. You have no death infact. You are a soul with body.and body is temporary abode of soul.

I'm not sure if I agree with you. Einstien said that the maximum state of evolution that any human can reach is pure energy. When (or rather if) we evolve to the form of pure energy we will be perfect. It can't get past that point.
I'm sticking with that one. But I have to admit, being the Grim Reaper could have it's perks!

Humans already have evolved much longer lifespans than most animals, based on our weight. We live longer than elephants. Even the great whales only live to be about 250 years old.

We all have our own opinions. We also are what we are.
It's more about the fear of death I think.
We can evolve in spirit to a place where death is not the fearsome enemy.

I am looking forward to death. I know I can't rush it, because I might not be ready, but once I become that which I am to become, I will not be afraid of the end of this chapter.

Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.....
Death is tangible..... the human EGO fears what it doesn't understand or know yet.
Being tangible is temporary.
Breathing causes spiritual amnesia.
Just because you don't remember anything else yet, doesn't prove this is all there is.
God is LOVE, LIFE, TRUTH, LIGHT, JOY.......
