Of course they are. So HERE'S THE CATCH! Steve Nash won the MVP this year. Kobe Bryant finished 4th this year. But Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordon are strikingly firmilar as are Steve Nash and Magic Johnson. But the thing is, most people think that Steve Nash is more valuable than Kobe, but think Michael Jordon was more valuable than Magic Johnson...so what going on here? Can we all start making fair comparisons pleeease?

My point is I think Kobe is being, once again, unfairly compared.

That was a dumb answer to this question. If you want to go there mr basketballnutz than I counter with this. You say that Kobe is better than steve because the lakers wouldn't trade for him right? Ok, so then Lebron is better than Kobe because there is no way the Cavs would trade for him right? Come up with better answers dude.

To answer your question... As far as mystique goes, Kobe and Nash are great right now, (I'm a HUGE suns fan) But until they start going to championships (in kobes case, getting back there) they cant be compared because Magic and Jordan were annual Title Contenders, on or the other was getting there every year.

Secondly, you cant compre Nash to Magic anyways because they are too different. Magic was 6-9 215 Nash is 6-3 195. Nash is a pure point guard, Magic could play any position. So stop comparing them!

How old are you kids?? Did any of you REALLY get to see Magic Johnson in his prime? Comparing Nash to Magic is somewhat ridiculous, as he has never been the class of player that Magic is. Magic, before Stockton came along, was the preeminent point guard in the league and amassed more assists than anyone else. The reason we know him as "Magic" is because of his sick ability to pass the ball in such a way that it would have to be magic for it to occur! Nash is not a better passer....as a matter of fact, he's not even close. The Bryant/Jordan comparisons are old. The last guy was right, Kobe is a gunner..that's all. Jordan was the complete package. Truthfully, the only players even close in terms of their all around dominance to Jordan....Magic Johnson and Julius Erving. Kobe is a great scorer, but nowhere near the level of a Michael Jordan.

well you can say steve nash is a better passer than magic johnson, but magic had to be the better player (by the way steve nash is my favorite player ever). Magic could play any position on the court, and dominate. Steve nash i think is the best passer ever, he always finds his teamates, half the time they are not even ready for the pass when he makes it, it is so unbelievable.

Thing with kobe and jordan, they are not alike. Jordan was a scorer, but he also got his teamates into it all the time. Kobe is just a gunner who hogs the ball.

Let's just say that Magic was more utility and clutch than Nash, as Jordan lead his franchise to more nba finals than kobe has. so to answer your question the MJ's are better than Nash and Bryant, but Nash and Bryant are the MJ's of this current generation.

Kobe's better than Nash here's the proof, let's see if the Laker's would be willing to trade Kobe for Nash! Yeah right!
