this depends on how you are planning on doing your setup. If you simply are asking your ISP for another IP address this will do nothing for your bandwidth speed. Are you using a T1 or DSL? You can get a second T1 provisioned and then you will have to "multiplex" your two T1s together to get increased bandwidth. You will have to purchase a T1 multiplexer. This is expensive. I doubt this is what you were planning. My guess is that you want to know if there is an easy way to get more bandwidth by adding another internet account. The answer would be no. You can not get more bandwidth by adding another IP address or internet account and doing configurations on your gateway. Best thing to do is call your ISP and request an upgrade and pay more for more bandwidth.

Not entirely correct kcmann. If he is trying to increase his bandwidth by bringing in another T-1 he can simply run another subnet which uses the second T-1 or create two DHCP setups each having it's own set of IP's to issue and each with their own Gateway.

The problem is his current equipment probably does not have the ability to support multiple Gateways or subnets so he would probably have to just setup another AP basically dividing his customers between the two AP's, that would probably be the easist and cheapest solution.

Granted seeing what options there are for the ISP to increase the bandwidth is the first step.

its not possible dear friend bcoz in one server or computer you can just setup only one getway. no way to setup second getway in same system or server.

if you want backup bandwith & setup automatic switching option then you must use router for this. In router you have many features like this.

good luck!!!!!!!!!
