She Said Yes by Brad Paisley

She moved into my old apartment
That's how we got this whole thing started
She called and said that I had mail waiting there for me
I told her that I'd come and get it
How could I know in just a minute
That I'd be standing face to face with my own destiny

Ohh and we sat there talkin' just like we were old friends
And ohh Then I asked her can I see you again

Chorus:
She said yes
And I said wow
And she said when
And I said how about right now
Love can't wait
Then I asked if she believed in fate
And she said yes

The days flew by just like a fast train
And nothing else has been on my brain
Except the thought of how she makes me
The man I wanna be
And she's the one I want for a million reasons
Loving her it's just like breathing
It's easy and it obvious
She was made for me

Ohh then it happend one night looking in her eyes
Ohh and I popped the question
Much to my suprise

Chorus

So we called the precher, family, and friends
And nothing's been the same since

Chorus

She said yes

As of right now....here it is (I couldn't find the Hula Honeys' version where it was sung from a lady's perspective but.....)

All Pau Now (side note: Pau pronounced Pow)

Gordon Beecher (1941)

I was once a roamer and a rover
Just a playboy always on the go
Now I'm glad to say those days are over
A little Hawaiian miss deserves the reason for this

Used to stay out a night but that's all pau now
Used to like night life sights but that's all pau now
I was a malihini, foolish, fancy and free
Little brown-eyed wahine made a new man of me

Even surrendered my okolehao now
Saying goodbye to good old welakahao
Two little eyes of brown making me settle down
Used to burn up the town but that's all pau now

The Fray "Over My Head":

♫I never knew
I never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a cue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears and

Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind

Let's rearrange
I wish you were a stranger I could disengage
Just say that we agree and then never change
Soften a bit until we all just get along
But that's disregard
You find another friend and you discard
As you lose the argument in a cable car
Hanging above as the canyon comes between and

Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind

Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on

And suddenly I become a part of your past
I'm becoming the part that don't last
I'm losing you and its effortless
Without a sound we lose sight of the ground
In the throw around
Never thought that you wanted to bring it down
I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves

Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind

Everyone knows
She's on your mind

Everone knows I'm in
Over my head
I'm in over my head
I'm over my

Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind♫

I'm in the mood for love, funny, but when you're near me, I'm in the mood for love.... May I call you funny but? I think the song by Paul Simon "Still Crazy After All These Years" would describe it.

Bob Dylan: Simple Twist of Fate but I like Concrete Blonde's version better. Even more haunting.

When I am sad I listen to really sad music that brings me down even more. It seems like if I don't hit rock bottom, I can't find my way back up.
